Highfield Close
Extension & Refurbishment
The brief was to provide additional living space and to create a stronger physical and visual connection with the large, landscaped garden of this 1960s built home.
The existing kitchen was extended and remodelled to provide a generous kitchen-diner and lounge area which connects to a raised deck via large sliding doors, proving expansive views of the garden.
An eye-level window is positioned to frame views down into the garden as you enter the house, as well as eye-level windows from the dining table.
A seamless rooflight brings daylight deep into the kitchen space and the roof incorporates a luscious green roof, which merges with the garden when viewed from the master bedroom.

"Michael designed a rear extension and improved the layout of our ground floor.
He helped us with our plans enormously. We found it easy to talk to him about what we wanted, and he came up with great design suggestions, which were far better than our ideas, making better use of the space and how it flows.
We absolutely love cooking for and entertaining our friends in our new kitchen-diner, it’s the kind of space we always dreamed of having! We would highly recommend Michael."
